Whitehall went into the half with a 27-12 lead, and after the Vikings struck again to make it 34-6, the Bulldogs took control of the momentum and rattled off 24 points to close the gap to 34-30 late in the 3rd quarter. Whitehall would score once in the third quarter, and the Bulldogs would answer with three seconds remaining to make it 38-30, but the onside kick was recovered by the Vikings and the kneeled out to end the game.
Stats wise, Conner Kilbourne was 24-43 for 358 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception, and also had two rushing touchdowns, and Garry Johnson paced the running attack with 95 yards on 15 carries. Josh Cox hauled in 11 catches for 200 yards and two touchdowns, while Calvin Schullo and Grant Parker both had over 70 yards a piece as well.
On defense, Schullo paced the group with 10 tackles, and a tackle for loss, Jared Broton had 8 tackles from his safety spot, and defensive lineman Nicke Ely and Alex Straub had eight and seven tackles each, respectively.
Special teams – Brandon Millis averaged 31 yards a return, and also averaged nearly 32 yards per punt.
